I'm a developer and analyst based in Prague with a strong focus on Python development, data engineering, and AI/ML. I enjoy building data-oriented services, automating processes, and figuring out tricky technical problems.
I care deeply about the products I work on and love working closely with product owners. I always want the user experience to be as smooth as possible.
Currently working at SAP Concur on serverless ETL pipelines in AWS, while also freelancing as a Python programming lecturer. Over the years, I've done everything from web scraping and big data engineering to test management and teaching programming.
Outside of work, I'm an avid reader, and I enjoy music, computer gaming, and automating things just for fun.
Development of data-oriented services (ETL processes) within a serverless architecture in Python. Using lambdas, SQS and other serverless tools provided by AWS. Replicating data to ElasticSearch, querying ES and working with DynamoDB. Analysing data and problem solving. Development of internal Python packages and testing of our solutions.
Development of a custom UI testing tool based on Python, pytest, Selenium, dockerisation of the solution, and a web app for displaying test results. Small ad hoc projects in Django.
Maintenance of data warehouse residing in PostgreSQL database. Optimising transformation scripts and preparing data for Power BI. Migrating part of DWH into Azure Synapse Analytics. Enhancement of test tool written in Python — speeding up tests and running them in parallel using Docker.
Development of web scrapers using Python and the Scrapy framework.
Tutoring fun programming courses for children, preparing syllabi and games to engage them more in programming.
Working with the Cloudera stack (HDFS, Hive/Impala, Spark). Writing unit tests in Python for HQL transformation scripts. Analysing input data and transforming scripts from SAS to Hive. Using Jupyter notebooks and Pandas for data analysis.
Leading a small team of five testers, preparing test plans, time management and reporting. Creating a new vision of testing in the context of CI/CD and agile. Test case design, manual testing and test automation in Python and PHP.
